Hi, this is Clare from Hong Kong.
I am a furniture designer and maker.
I began my woodwork journey through a designer-maker course at Waters & Acland Fine Furniture School in 2021. Within a year, I not only honed my skills but also discovered an unquenchable passion for furniture design.
Driven by my love for design and craftsmanship, I took the exciting step of renting a workshop space, where I began to take commissions. Each piece is a unique story, carefully woven together with my clients' narratives and personal details, resulting in bespoke furniture that resonates deeply. In September 2022, I took the school offer from the Snowdon School of Furniture at Highgrove Traditional Craft, a design-led program from The King’s Foundation. This opportunity has further fueled my creativity and commitment to my craft.
I am passionate about celebrating the natural beauty of British timber and overlooked materials. My designs blend complexity with innovation, achieving a harmonious balance of functionality and aesthetic appeal. Every piece I create is not just furniture, it's a story waiting to be told and discovered.
If you have ideas for a design or a collaboration, I would love to connect and bring your vision to life. Let's create something extraordinary together.
